In the beginning the little girl was overwhelmed by the huge amount of impressions, artists and images this new world offered her.
Very soon she was sure, that all of her works, her pictures, poems, stories, would never as good as the works of all those gifted people there; she wondered, if deviantart was the right place for her.
So the little girl let her account waste away and for a very long time she wasn't about to visit deviantart.com anymore.
Almost a whole year has gone by, when deviantart once again met the lifeline of the little girl again. By this time she had grown up a lot, and had gained a lot of self-confidence. So this young lady, for she wasn't a girl anymore, risked it: she just started to load up different photographs she had done and she was quite confident with.
And, oh, how wonderful: some users even added her pictures to their favourites! Although her works weren't very special, or complicated or profound, there were people liking them.
From this moment on, the young lady realized that art ist nothing anyone would rate: it was just the magic of her very own style, the fact, that she shot those pictures, that make other users like them. And some of her watchers even started to like her!
Today, the young lady spents a lot of time on deviantart.com.
And if she doens't die, she will do it forever!
Kitschy, I know.

Hey. People aren't chocolates. D'you know what
they are mostly? Bastards. Bastard-coated
bastards with bastard filling. But I don't
find them half as annoying as I find
naive bobble-headed optimists
who walk around vomiting
sunshine. (Dr. Cox)
